Michael McNaughton is the Founder and Principal of M2 Real Estate Advisors, with 35 years of commercial real estate experience spanning virtually every asset class and market cycle.
Michael is best known for founding Rouse Properties (NYSE: RSE), which he took public in January 2012. While serving as EVP at General Growth Properties, he built the organization from concept to the 8th largest mall REIT, with 31 assets and over 21 million square feet. He was also part of the four-person team that raised $2.6 billion to recapitalize GGP through bankruptcy, a roadshow that closed four times oversubscribed.
Before launching M2, Michael was SVP of U.S. Development at Westfield where he oversaw delivery of the World Trade Center and Fulton Transit Center retail projects in Lower Manhattan, and other projects across the country. Most recently, he served as COO of a Jacksonville-based family office, growing its EBITDA over 30% through expansion across the Southeast.
A longtime ULI member and published author, Michael has lectured at MIT, American University, and the University of Wisconsin. He lives in Florida with his wife. Together, they have three children.

Aidan McNaughton is a Principal for M2 Real Estate Advisors and the broker of record for the brokerage division. Aidan spends his time between Miami and Jacksonville and handles brokerage services for both Project and Tenant representation services.
Prior to joining M2, Aidan spent 4 years at Regency Centers. In his capacity with Regency as a Leasing Agent, he handled both the new deals and renewals for the Miami portfolio, consisting of 20 grocery anchored retail assets totaling 3 million square feet. Aidan received his license and worked part time as an associate while he was finishing his studies at The University of Miami Herbert Business School, where he graduated with a degree in Real Estate.
He is an active member of ICSC, where he has served on the ICSC Next Gen Committee.

Ben McNaughton is a Principal with M2 Real Estate Advisors, located in Jacksonville, Florida. With M2, Ben is involved in all development and acquisition efforts and specializes in retail tenant and landlord advisory throughout Florida.
Throughout his career, Ben has played a leading role in the sourcing, acquisition, underwriting, entitlement, and development of more than $200 million in multifamily, student housing, and retail properties.
Ben holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Miami and an active Florida real estate license. He is an active member of both ULI and ICSC.
